3 up-do ideas for a first date
A first date is always an important event, and first impressions are everything. So don’t cut any corners when it comes to hair and make-up. Show that special person who you really are, for better or worse!
A loose chignon for a bohemian look. Perfect if you’re not the kind of girl who is obsessed with picture perfect hair, and you’d rather leave it free for a deliberately relaxed style. Just like your everyday life! But this doesn’t mean your hairstyle can’t be both laid-back and chic at the same time. Gently backcomb your hair and pull it back into a loose ponytail. Create a chignon with the lengths of the ponytail. Forget the strict, neat chignon. Make it more creative by fixing your hair loosely in place. Or why not try splitting the ponytail into two, twisting the mid-lengths and then fixing them at the base of the ponytail.
A quiff for a rock chic effect. Want to reveal a glimpse of your rebellious side? Go for a rock ‘n’ roll quiff! To create this style, take your comb and generously backcomb the top section of your hair. Next, gently brush the hair and pull it back. Pin in place and gather the rest of your hair into a ponytail. Spray a thin layer of hairspray for a quiff that stays in place all day long.
A slick ponytail for a sweet and innocent look. Perfect if for you, a first date is a chance to prove that you’re not the kind of girl who says yes to everything! Show him what you’re made of with a slick, strict and ultra-trendy ponytail. Straighten your hair using a pair of straighteners, or blow dry for a more natural effect. Then create a side parting (a key trend for this Autumn/Winter) and slick your hair back using a brush and styling gel. Tie into a low or high ponytail. It’s entirely up to you!
