The maxi quiff

Whatever your hair type, this quiff will definitely have you exuding rock ‘n’ roll attitude. To create this style, separate your hair into three sections and create a medley of textures with a good backcombing and styling paste such as Density Paste. Take the middle section and gather the hair together, lifting it up at the roots with a comb to give maximum volume. Then, style it towards the back without pressing down on it to create a quiff. Finish off the look by flattening down the other sections at the sides with the styling product and tuck your locks behind your ears for the ultimate bad girl look.

Boxer braids

To create these highly on-trend tough cookie braids, start by marking out a middle parting which extends down to the nape of the neck to divide your hair into two. On one side, select a section of hair near the parting to start the braid, as close to your forehead as possible (not incorporating all of your hair) and divide it into three sections. Braid them outwards, by crossing the sections one by one underneath each other to give the braid as much shape as possible. Add in some hair to each section gradually as you go and plait it down to the tips. All you have to do then is repeat this on the other side to create a second inverted plait and then you are ready to hit the party!

The rebellious bun

The chignon gets a rebellious new twist with this top knot, split in two for a tailor-made de-styled effect. To create this look, put your hair up in a high ponytail, then separate your locks into two to form big loops. Hold them in place using a hairband at the base to create this funny chignon. Then hide some of the tips sticking out of the bun with hairpins. Combine this look with a few unruly strands, leaving a few fine hairs to fall down the nape of your neck and along your hairline. The less polished the hairstyle, the better the rock chick look!
