Which hairstyles work with the cloche hat?

Originally made popular during the roaring 20s, the cloche hat is making an impressive comeback at runway shows during Fashion Weeks all over the world. With Agnès B. making the cloche one of their must-have pieces for autumn-Winter 2014-2015 in Paris, let’s take a closer look at the top 3 ways to wear this retro accessory.

Sweep your locks upwards for a retro-chic result. Copy the flapper style and make sure all of your hair stays neatly tucked away under your cloche. This will instantly create an elegant feel. Our top tip? Secure your lengths into a low-slung ponytail at the base of the neck to keep your hair out of sight, then tuck the rest up into your hat.

Soft curls for a relaxed feel. This is the best way to avoid looking old-fashioned or outdated. Pairing your cloche hat with wavy lengths is an ideal combination and a great half-way point between a casual, modern yet stylish look.

Straight lengths to ooze sophistication. Keep things feminine and let your lengths hang straight, skimming your face. You should be aiming to update your cloche hat by adding a touch of modern-chic. Why not tuck your front sections behind your ears to open up your features?
