Vincent’s most drastic hair change yet

‘I’ve always had a standard, basic haircut. One that didn’t take much upkeep and required minimal styling every morning. A few inches of hair was just enough for me. I could wash my hair and get ready to go in under 5 minutes. However, one day I saw some photos of myself when I was younger and was inspired to grow my hair longer.

The bowl cut, which my mother once forced me to wear for years, looked tempting. This style features hair that is neither too long nor too short, and was the perfect way to give me an individual look. Instead of getting the traditional version of the bowl however, I opted for a modern take on this old classic by wearing mine with no parting at all instead of the usual centre parting. After a few months of growing out my hair, I headed down to my salon to talk over my drastic change with my stylist. To avoid the helmet look, they recommended a longer section at the front which makes the style more modern and up to date.

Now, I’m in love with my new look! It makes me stand out from the crowd and reminds me of when I was younger, plus it’s not all that difficult to style. A quick blast with the hairdryer after showering and I’m good to go. If I fancy wearing my hair differently, I can change how I wear the parting, and a side parting looks great with this cut. I add the final touch by running a small amount of styling wax through the lengths to define certain strands with a mattifying texture’.
