Vanessa, 29: “A chic, casual hair style”

Your look? I like classic, elegant pieces but I try to find more contemporary versions. Midi skirts and dresses, yeah OK, but only if they’re leather. Smart shirts or blouses, fine but I’d choose a low cut version or a sheer fabric. A suit jacket but with a little extra detail. Basically, I love revisiting the classics from other generations, even down to the accessories. For example, I love a traditional, ladylike string of pearls but often in a more modern form or brighter colour.

Your hair style? I don’t like spending a crazy amount of time on my hair, but that’s not to say that I don’t make an effort. I only go for easy and practical hair styles. So if I’m going to put my hair up, it’s important that it’s a simple style but that it still looks neat. If I decide to leave my hair down, I want to avoid it looking messy. I go to my hairdresser regularly so that my hair cut is always perfect and all I need to do to get my hair looking just right, is to give it a good brush and blow dry.

Your style today? I have a really busy day with lots of meetings. So for me, it’s important to wear my hair up to make sure it’s not looking wild by the end of the day. Once I’ve put it up, I don’t have to worry about it which suits me fine! To give it more volume, I apply a styling mousse to my hair when wet. This gives it a bit more body once it’s dry. I backcomb it a bit at the roots, and then I gather the hair at the back of my head and tie it in a pony-tail or bun.
