Top hair colors for Spring-Summer 2014

We’re finally seeing the back of winter and spring is hot on its heels, meaning we’re ready to lighten and brighten our hair for the warmer months ahead. Deep, dark colours are out, highlighted summery hair is definitely in!

The trend. The key word for Spring-Summer 2014 at Jean Louis David is ‘Light’. Highlighted shades are big news this season as well as ethereal styles and hair that’s full of body and volume. Summer often makes us want to try something new when it comes to our hair. Brunettes opt for highlights, blondes tend to go a couple of shades lighter.

Brunettes. The big trend for brunettes in summer is to make the hair appear lighter. This breaks up the block color and adds depth to your color whilst giving it more movement. Make your hair glossier and shinier with sections in lighter tones which will improve how light reflects onto your locks.

Blondes. Summer is all about blonde shades. Sun-kissed hair is every girl’s dream look. This season’s top blonde shades to watch are ice-blonde and honey tones. It’s up to you to decide which one is right for you.

Red heads. Ravishing reds! Even you can work this summer trend and take your shade lighter. Strawberry blonde is the perfect tone for this season and is an easy-to-wear shade for blondes and brunettes too. Red hair is becoming more popular by the minute for summer, simply find which shade suits you best!
