The must-have au-natural style everybody is asking for

Although au-natural hairstyles tend to be more popular during the summer months, we’ve been spotting these relaxed looks more and more this winter. Both feminine and simple to create, relaxed hair does however need some TLC from time to time due to the harsh weather and outdoor conditions.

The trend. The winter season, endless Christmas parties and chilly weather tend to make us want to wear more sophisticated hairstyles. In fact, to combat the rain and added humidity, women tend to opt for updos such as the classic ponytail or a chignon. However, winter 2015 is all about loose lengths that are natural and flowing. The only thing to remember is to keep your hair in good condition to ensure a high-shine finish.

Looking after locks during winter. Scarves, hats and especially the freezing cold weather can make hair sensitive, meaning extra care should be taken to remedy this damage and protect your locks. Instantly hydrate your hair with a bi-phase formula. Why not try Shine and Soft leave-in treatment or Nutrition and Shine for glossy hair whatever the weather.

Who can wear the au-natural look? This look is best suited to women with naturally straight hair, as the effect will not be the same with curlier styles. For optimum results, your style should be similar to those spotted on the Dior runway (pictured). A centre parting and long lengths that appear natural and glossy. To get the look, dry hair with your hairdryer after applying a heat-protective spray. And that’s it! Hair looking a bit lacklustre? Spritz Shine Spray throughout the mid-lengths and ends to reveal light-reflecting locks.
