The all-over wet look

The wet look has been around for a few seasons now and can be found in some of the trendiest hairstyles. While we recommended avoiding the wet look all over, things are set to change in autumn-winter 2013-2014. Here’s a look at the all-over wet look.

The trend. Forget two-texture hair! Today, hair is getting wet wet wet! The “just-back-from-the-beach” effect is being worn on all haircuts, no matter how long the style. Whether on fifties-style curls for a night out, or during the day on straight hair, the effect must be all-out. The autumn-winter trend is all about excess and that can be seen in the season’s hairstyles. Get your hands on a styling wax for straight hair or a spray for curly hair in order to create waves for an all-over wet look!

Who for? Anyone not used to doing things by halves! But make sure your hair doesn’t look greasy. Your styling product should be applied – even if it’s across your whole hair – with care. Whatever the product in question, it must be used sparingly. Think urban glamour.

How to create the all-over wet look. Pour a small amount of styling product into the palm of your hand. Coat your whole hair in it, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends. These tend to be drier than the rest of your hair and therefore soak up a lot more product. Careful not to apply too much to the scalp.
