Taking care of my curly hair

A wild mane, supple curls and a beautiful shine…not always. What is a characteristic of curly hair? It tends to be drier than other hair. For Jeff Causse, everything starts with the right shampoo and a treatment that finishes the job. “You can either choose products specially designed for curly hair, or ones that just simply hydrate”.

Once you hair is washed and towel-dried, apply a mousse to provide strength and vitality to your hair as well as a serum to give it a nice sheen. Dry your hair with your hairdryer set at the lowest setting and with a diffuser attached. This accessory is great for reviving your curls. “Let them fall naturally into the diffuser and they’ll bounce back up right on their own!”

Jeff Causse offers you an alternative: curls can also be formed with your hands. “Warm up a curl-defining product in your hands that will tame your curls and make them supple. Apply the product while wrapping strands around your fingers and let it all air dry while shaking your head back and forth”. The result: structured curls that are protected against humidity.

Lastly, be careful of how you care for your hair on a day-to-day basis. Say goodbye to your hairbrush and hello to a wide-toothed comb that will help you disentangle your hair.
