Streetstyle: is the dip-dye still on-trend for summer 2014?

This trend has been created and re-created several times over the last few years, and is still a very popular and feminine look. However, the dip-dye is slowly becoming less sought-after, making way for new color trends such as ombré and Splashlight which are more current.

Her hair. She’s wearing a high-contrast dip-dye look. Thanks to her long lengths, the change from dark to light is anything but natural. However, there are other ways to lighten your locks. Contrast highlights, Splashlight and even ombré are a much more natural take on this trend. Each one lightens hair whilst creating a completely natural-looking finish. Head to your salon to discuss your color change with a stylist who will be able to give you professional advice on which color will best suit you and your hair type.

Her look. Rock’n’roll! Our streetstyle wearer today has opted for leather from head to toe. Slim-fit leather trousers, a biker-chic jacket and leather boots give her a modern rockstar look. Only her crisp white shirt and a checked scarf wrapped around her hips add a splash of color to this otherwise simple outfit. A high-shine clutch bag acts as the final touch to her ensemble which combines a mixture of casual and elegant pieces.

Tip of the day. This summer, Splashlight is set to be the number one hair color trend! This technique adds a halo of light around your crown. The top section of hair and strands around the face are highlighted to give your hair a sun-kissed touch that is perfect for summer.
