Spring-Summer 2017 Collection: Softlight, a new highlighting technique

Share

Discover this new Jean Louis David exclusive highlighting technique which adds luminous contrasting highlights to your locks, perfect for adding depth to your hair.

This Spring-Summer, Jean Louis David is presenting its Rock Your Summer collection. Whether it be personalised layers, graphic short haircuts or unstructured bobs , all of the haircuts are being enhanced by a new exclusive colouring service: the Softlight, a new highlighting technique specifically designed for long locks.

What is it?

An integral part of long version of the Hippie Seventies haircut , the Softlight is a permanent 3-in-1 colouring technique. It creates a lightening effect in your locks and intensifies the tips framing the face by making them darker.

In just one application, your colourist can add depth to your locks by gently creating pretty natural highlights due to a light Contrast treatment (Jean Louis David's version of highlights). Perfect for showcasing your features, this personalised service highlights any slightest detail of your haircut and enhances layers.

Who is it for?

The Softlight is a highlighting technique specifically designed for long hair. Jean Louis David's stylists will not be able to apply this technique to short hair . You need a minimum length to create a contrast between the roost and darker tips.

To fully benefit from this exclusive service, your hair must be at least shoulder length.

However, good news, it suits all hair colours! On a light base, it adds shades to create a highly natural result. If you're brunette, the highlights will be an array of browns, auburn or mahogany depending on your base colour. As for light brown hair, this technique will illuminate your locks with pretty copper highlights.
