Seen on the catwalk: high-volume, graphic hair

At prêt-à-porter catwalk shows it’s often the clothes that everyone’s talking about afterwards. But at Rick Owens, the models’ ultra-graphic, high-volume hairstyles were the centre of attention!
 
The stylist was talking about a return to serenity for his designs. Natural colours and sometime quite Japanese-style clothes. But in terms of hairstyles, his models make us think of evil sorceresses rather than yoga teachers!
 
This hairstyle, which defies the laws of gravity, can only be achieved by backcombing the whole head of hair and using a generous amount of hairspray. Hair is backcombed from the roots to the ends and only hairspray, no expense spared, can hold these almost sculpted styles in place.
