Prune make-up with brunette locks: the right combo?

It’s common knowledge that brunettes suit most eye shadow shades, especially neutrals. But, could prune be the next big thing when it comes to eye make-up? You’re about to find out.

The trend. Mid-length brunette locks that were super glossy. Hair was worn loose and given structure with a side parting. Lengths fell gently around the shoulder whilst the ends were slightly flicked inwards, thanks to a perfect blow-dry. On the catwalk, models’ eyes were defined with a prune eye shadow creating a mysterious and intense effect. This is a great color to make your brown eyes pop. Don’t forget to pair this style with a feminine and sophisticated outfit to complete your look.

Who can wear prune shadow? Brunettes looking for a new lid shade to liven up their look! Prune is a great choice as it is a soft, yet warm, shade which goes perfectly with your complexion, softens features and will tone with your hair color.

Get the runway look. For best results, start by using products from the Oil Therapy range, such as the Hydration and Suppleness shampoo to nourish your brunette locks. After washing, carefully dry with your hairdryer and a round brush to get the perfect blow dry. Part your hair to one side, then spray all over with hairspray. Moving on to make-up, start by creating a uniform base to even out your complexion. Next, add your prune shade to the inner crease of your eyelid for a smoky finish, finally adding a few coats of lengthening mascara. Complete the look with a nude lipstick or gloss and you’re good to go!
