New year’s eve hair accessories

When we hear the words ‘New Year’s Eve’, we think confetti, sequins and disco balls. To stand out amongst the masses of sparkly decorations, you’re really going to have to pull out all the stops when it comes to your makeup, party outfit and hair accessories. Why be nervous about celebrating the start of 2014 when you know you’ll be the belle of the ball ?

New year’s eve hair. Some women think that their new year’s eve hairstyle needs to be big, complicated and difficult to create, yet, it’s often simpler hairstyles that look best. A high ponytail or messy bun at the base of the neck will look just as good as the curls you might have spent the whole afternoon styling, or straight hair that will frizz-up before the big count-down even starts. Opt for a simple hairstyle, they always turn out the best. Especially when you add the all-important hair accessories.

Hair accessories. Hair accessories often look great with updos. There’s so many different varieties to choose from, sparkly, statement, and even tiara-esque styles. To nail this look, your accessory needs to take centre-stage. If ever there was a time to go wild with hair accessories, new years eve is it !

Take inspiration from the Giorgio Armani runway. A statement headband with a bold, patent ball attached. Try wearing yours with a high ponytail or a bun chignon for maximum effect. A small veil on the front of the hairband adds a sexy touch to the accessory.

For those who want a more subtle take on this trend, opt for a simple headband…just make sure it sparkles!
