I’ve tested winter 2015’s Style Bar

After the three unique hairstyles launched at the back end of summer 2014, Jean Louis David is reinventing this season’s hair trends with two brand new looks available from the Style Bar. The double braid and rock-chic updo are big news for autumn-winter 2014-2015. Let’s get things started by taking a closer look at the double braid.

‘Within the Speed Up-Do category, this hairstyle enables you to tie your hair away from your face whilst remaining stylish and on-trend. The volume on the upper sections tempted me to give this style a go, not to mention the stunning model picture hung in the salon. This look is ideal for an evening occasion and is slightly more sophisticated than other up-dos in the range. I decided to try out this edgy look last weekend for a party with friends. I left the salon with exactly what I wanted…and later that evening I was receiving compliments left, right and center on my new look!’

‘To create this hairstyle, the root area needs to be backcombed at the rear to add volume. Next, hair is separated into two sections and two different braids are plaited, then entwined beautifully. One braid is a simple French braid whilst the other is a fishtail plait which lies on top of the latter. To boost shine and make your hair appear glossy, your stylist will use Shine Spray all-over when your style is complete. Make the most of your salon appointment and arrive with freshly washed, dry hair. For just 15 euros and in only 15 minutes, my style was ready to go!’
