Streetstyle: How to wear side-hair with a hat

Side hair has long been thought of as a hairstyle for posh evening dos, and is often seen worn on the red-carpet by glamourous celebrities. Yet now, the style is being worn more and more in everyday life and has become a must have work-wear hairstyle.

The hairstyle. Put simply, a side hair style topped off with a hat. This season, wearing a hat or a beanie is practically law, even if they are fun to wear. This is the case for our streetstyle girl today, who has decided to add a black felt hat to her side hair. This look is perfect for winter as it finishes off her look perfectly and smoothes her hair. To create this hairstyle, she has gathered all of her hair onto one shoulder and then added a hat. It doesn’t get easier than this !

The look. Original and feminine. Her outfit features predominantly monochrome shades, the only colours used being a moon on her skirt and a golden pattern on her top. The top of her outfit is white whilst the bottom half is mostly black to really bring out the contrasting monochrome colours. Patent heels worn with a black pencil skirt, oversized t-shirt and a belted white jacket. The only statement colour used is the flash of pink worn on her lips, true fashionista style.

Tip of the day. To avoid greasy flat hair, wear a hat that doesn’t need to be pulled down onto your head too tightly. You could also try using Jean-Louis David’s Control Therapy Shampoo too prevent greasy roots and dry ends. This is ideal for controlling the amount of oil your scalp produces and to hydrate the lengths and ends of your hair properly.
