Haircuts for men with mid-length hair

While the trend for women’s haircuts this winter is structured, for men it’s the opposite. For men it’s all about mid-lengths cuts that can be styled to suit their mood. Here’s a look at this season’s haircuts for men.

This winter, men should go for styles with undefined contours. “To be bang on trend, men should go for something without structure. Hair is layered whilst the length is kept on top. This makes for a variety of styling possibilities and movement. The lengths must reach at least down to the nose to stop your hair from falling in your eyes all the time.”

With a haircut like this you can try any styles that take your fancy. “You don’t necessarily need a well-defined parting. Hair can be pushed back and worn tousled or dandy-inspired. The cut is really flexible, meaning you can change your style every day to suit your mood!”

The styling products to use will depend on the style you’re after. “A strong-hold gel keeps your hair in place and allows you to wear it pulled back. Wax offers a matte effect whilst holding your hair in place. You decide what results you’re after.”

Our tip: for a malleable cut, the hair on top should be gently layered. This provides volume and allows you to push your hair back or to the side, depending on your mood. The stylist works these lengths to offer as many styling options as possible.
