The trend. Often considered to be an anti-conformist choice of headwear amongst angsty teenagers, the cap has completely changed its image for 2014 and is now being worn by men of all ages. Both lightweight and practical, its visor is the perfect way to protect your eyes from the sun. Inspired by the kepi (a flat-topped French military hat), caps can now be bought in a wide range of colors and sizes. What better way to relax and enjoy the sun at the beach this year?
 
 
Why choose a cap? The cap is very practical, but also extremely versatile thanks to its many different forms. The size of the visor, color and shape can all differ from one cap to another, meaning you can find the perfect cap for you. This is quite a rare phenomenon, as many traditional hats cannot be altered or personalised in the way the cap has been over the last few decades. Nowadays, men can wear a cap with a design and shape as unique as they are!
 
How to wear the cap. Ideally, you should wear your cap with the visor section in front of your face, so that your eyes are shielded from the sun. However, some prefer to wear theirs backwards with a ‘bad-boy’ attitude. At least your scalp will always be protected, which is the main thing! In terms of color, white is most popular right now. It naturally reflects the light better than black, meaning your head will be kept cool. This accessory is perfect for the beach, but also for music festivals.
