Fashion Week Find: the headscarf and fedora combo

Looking for an original accessory that is on-trend and chic? Look no further than the headscarf and fedora combo, recently spotted on the Agnès B Spring-Summer 2015 runway show at Paris Fashion Week.

The trend. On the catwalks, models wore an on-trend headscarf which covered the entire head, completed with a black fedora hat. The latter should be worn slightly pulled down onto your head; what better way to frame your face and bring all of the attention to your eyes? Colorful headscarves were extremely feminine whilst the hat added a more masculine feel to this look. The mixture of two different styles created a mysterious vibe that oozed effortless chic.

How to wear. You can wear this unique combination whatever the occasion; it’s bound to get you noticed out and about and is perfect for adding an elegant touch to your outfit. Our top tip is to avoid styling your hair like this on extremely sunny days otherwise you could soon overheat! If you don’t mind playing with color, try out different combinations depending on your individual style. In terms of the rest of your look, opt for sophisticated pieces similar to those seen on the runway.

Step-by-step hairstyle. Start by creating a low chignon, pinning into place with some bobby pins. Next, take your headscarf, fold in two and place on top of your head so that it covers all of your hair. Wrap the two corners around your hair tie to envelop your low chignon. Finally, style your hat on top and you’re good to go!
