Hairstyle

Coline reveals her most drastic hair change yet!

‘I was always the tomboy of the group when I was younger. I played outside with boys and didn’t have many real girlfriends. However, it would have been out of the question for me to cut my beautiful long hair into a shorter, boyish style. Since then, that notion has stuck with me. But last month, I decided to take the plunge and break the rules’.

‘It was high time I found a hairstyle that actually matched my personality, so I decided to chop my hair off into something more tomboyish. I loved the idea of having short hair that still looked feminine and pretty. Luckily for me, this winter’s big trend is short hair, so there were plenty of styles to choose from and take inspiration from. After doing my research, I soon found out that a boyish cut was exactly the look I was after, as the shorter length still looked feminine. The haircut I chose still had longer sections and volume, which meant I could even create a layered fringe effect. It was the perfect combination of short, boyish hair with these girly aspects which swung me’.

‘After I’d explained what type of hairstyle I was after at my salon appointment, my stylist recommended a boyish haircut that was still longish. This meant that I had tonnes of styling options to choose from: if I woke up one morning and wanted to wear my hair messy and dishevelled, or in a sleek style, I could. All I need to style my hair is a good styling product. I usually use a pea-sized amount of gel and run this through my hair each morning. I smooth the product through each strand to tame my hair into a sleek, sophisticated look. I’m so glad I went for the chop!’.
