Braid your bangs for a sophisticated style

Let’s take a closer look at the beautiful braided bangs spotted on the Hermès autumn-winter 2014-2015 runway during Paris Fashion Week. This look is the ideal solution for giving your hairstyle an original update with a chic finish. Why not give this romantic and easy-to-style look a go this season?

The trend. This subtle and neat braid should blend into the rest of your hairstyle and lie flat against the side of your face to open up the features. Wear with your locks loose as a type of headband, with a ponytail or create a neat chignon to highlight your braiding skills.

Who can wear braided bangs? Braided bangs are perfect for women looking to liven up an old hairstyle whilst remaining elegant and classic. It’s also the best way to hide the fact that you are growing out your unwanted fringe, thanks to that fact it tucks away any rogue hairs near the hairline. You’ll need mid-length to long hair for optimum results.

Get the runway look. Wash and blow dry your locks for a super shiny finish, then create a deep side parting. Next, section off the front few inches of hair near your forehead and divide into three. You can now braid as you normally would, taking care not to pull too tightly around the root area; the start of your plait should appear relaxed and loose. Your braid should finish around the ears before being tied with a discreet hair elastic. Pin into place with a bobby pin, then spray evenly with hairspray for a long-lasting hold.
