Are hair exfoliators the latest hair craze?

Looking after your hair generally involves using the correct shampoos, regular hair masks and treatments at your salon appointment. Today, however, it seems that there is a new must-have product on the market: hair exfoliators. How does it work? How often should you be using it? Read on to discover more about this latest hair craze.

Our skin can suffer greatly from dead cell build-up, however the scalp is equally as prone to this problem. Your hair can also suffer from a build-up of product, making it harder for your locks to breathe and therefore making hair greasier quicker. You need to dislodge the dirt and eliminate the build-up of sebum caused by dead cells. The solution? An exfoliator which will stimulate blood flow to the scalp.

Once or twice a week, use a cream or hair mask enriched with ground apricot stones, sunflower seeds or even jojoba beads which naturally have exfoliating properties. Add a few drops of essential oil for a soothing treatment and apply to hair as if you were exfoliating your skin. These natural ingredients will instantly oxygenate the scalp and cleanse the root area.

So, are you tempted to try out this new hair craze that is sweeping the nation?
