Bring back those romantic, tousled hairstyles by creating your own chunky curls.

How to create chunky curls. This hairstyle works on any hair, especially normal to fine hair. The effect is more tricky to create on thick hair, which is often more difficult to work with. For chunky curls, thin-barrelled curling tongs are ideal. These are the only tools that create tight, corkscrew curls that produce that maximum volume. Use quite small sections of hair to get chunky curls. Once you’ve worked through your hair, run your fingers through your hair to loosen the curls.This is what gives them that natural bounce. Scrunch them up and pay particular attention to your ends, this is where the volume will be most visible. Finally, for a healthy shine, apply a serum across the lengths.
