A closer look at A/W’s faux-bob style

The faux bob has been around for a few seasons now. This is the perfect style for an elegant evening party, and several other occasions where short hair looks great. It’s ideal for women with long hair who want to experiment and find out if the real-thing will suit them before going for the chop at the hairdressers. Although we’ve seen the faux-bob before, this is another variation on an old classic.

The A/W faux-bob. Up until now, the faux-bob has traditionally been worn with curly hair. This boho-chic take on the look was a popular style for complimenting a little black dress on the red carpet. Today, the faux-bob just got that bit edgier with a rebel-twist. Now, this style is being worn messy, with an eye-obscuring strand at the front, hiding the wearer’s features.

Who can wear the A/W faux-bob. Anybody who needs a new style and a burst of inspiration. If you’re bossy and like getting your own way, this style was made for you! It’s also suited to women who don’t necessarily need to tie their hair up for work. Here, you’re guaranteed to have a few strands in the way of your eyes at all times, so make sure it won’t prevent you from working effectively!

How to get the look. Didn’t have time to wash your hair this morning? All the better! Start by creating a side parting. Ideally, your hair should be layered so that strands fall loose naturally in front of your face. Next, start creating your faux-bob by clipping up sections underneath your lengths. Keep In mind that this should look messy and unkempt, so don’t worry if strands fall loose. Finish with a spritz of hairspray for a long-lasting finish.
