Certain designer collections, influenced by retro styles, like to play upon this vintage look on the catwalk. This is exactly the case for Olympia Le Tan, as each of her runway shows  featured pin-up girl looks, from head to toe.
 
A popular style during the 40s, rolled bangs are often spotted today on die-hard 40s fans who like to wear feminine clothes and hair inspired by the era, much like Dita Von Teese. These glamorous bangs enable the wearer to create lots of volume on top of the head. Styled using vintage techniques from the 40s, you can’t create this look simply by cutting your bangs. You’ll need the right hair accessories and a lot of patience and practice when it comes to copying this style.
 
To create this retro look, scoop up the lengths of your hair and bring towards your face upwards. Take an elongated doughnut hairpiece in the same color as your hair and wrap the front section and lengths around, creating a twist. Roll upwards towards the forehead, then secure with plenty of bobby pins. Make sure that your hair is evenly distributed over the doughnut accessory to ensure that none of the material peeks through your natural hair. Spray evenly with hairspray to keep your style in place. All you need to decide now is whether you want to wear some matching 40s ringlets or whether you want to tie up the rest of your hair into an up-do. Have fun and get creative!
