4 tips on changing your look without cutting your hair

Hairstyles, hair accessories and colouring treatments: read on for our tips on changing your look without touching the length of your hair.

Try out different hairstyles

Completely change your look easily by playing with your hair. Create pretty curls in straight locks or straighten natural waves for a complete transformation. This will give you a radical change and, if you happen to fall in love with the “new you”, you can switch your heated styler for a salon temporary curling or straightening treatment. By doing this, you can enjoy your new look for several weeks. Consider also adding texture to your hair by scrunching your strands to create a wavy effect . Scrunch your hair at the roots to create more volume or flatten it down with styling wax. Another simple thing you can try? Using a comb, instead of a middle parting try a side parting. This will add a different kind of movement to your hair and it only takes a few seconds!

Create illusions with your hair length

Go for an on-trend bob whilst keeping your locks XXL. How? With a clever hairstyle to make it look like you have been for the chop: the faux bob . To do this, roll your locks in on themselves, hiding them at the nape of your neck with a few flat hairpins. Conversely, want to add a few centimetres? Go for extensions. Thanks to their natural finish, the effects are astounding!

Opt for a fake fringe

You cannot beat a fringe for transforming a haircut! It structures and adds character to both blunt and layered cuts. To rock this look, no need to visit the salon. Instead opt for a detachable fringe in a shade which is closest to your hair colour. Easy to use, it is attached using a clip. This optical illusion accessory makes all the difference… And the best thing about it? You can take it out whenever you want!

Go for a new colour

Going from brunette to blonde and vice versa, is an effective way to change your look without getting your hair cut. Otherwise, two-tone colouring techniques, such as ombré or dip dye, give your hair a whole new look. For the less daring amongst us, try simple “sun-kissed” highlights to add depth to your hairstyle whilst keeping your natural hair colour.
