3 tips for keeping hair healthy and radiant on vacation

Beach, sun or pool… when on vacation, your hair comes under a lot of damage from the elements. As well as choosing the right products, let’s take a look at 3 quick tricks that you should be doing to keep hair soft, supple and healthy!

Constantly rinse your hair. This step should be done after every time you take a dip in the pool or swim in the sea. You should never allow your hair to dry after coming into contact with chlorine and saltwater. As soon as you step out of the water, be sure to thoroughly rinse your locks with fresh water. What’s more, you hair will become tangled much more on the beach thanks to the wind. Keep your hair tangle-free throughout the day with a wide-tooth comb to prevent breakages later on.

Apply sun protection. Much like our skin, hair needs protecting against the sun’s harmful UV rays which dry out the scalp, damage keratin levels and fade hair color. Before and after each exposure, apply a sun protective spray to your lengths, such as the Multi-Purpose Gel from the Sun Therapy range. This will act as a protective barrier, helping to preserve vitality. Use as much as your hair needs.

Protect with accessories. Caps, scarves and hats… during the summer months, these handy cover-ups are your head’s new best friend! As well as shielding your eyes, they protect hair from harmful UV rays. Before leaving your hotel room, opt for one of this season’s on-trend hats to ensure your look is stylish without sacrificing the health of your hair.
