3 on-trend bridal hair accessories

More often than not, brides-to-be want to create elegant hairstyles for their big day which will last from morning until night. And, ideally, a few original accessories to create the wow-factor won’t go amiss. However, it’s not always simple to choose due to the vast selection available. Let’s take a closer look at some of our favourite, on-trend accessories for your big day.

The pearl encrusted chignon. This trend comes directly from the Chanel catwalk (pictured). Models all wore chic, wet-look chignons with tiny pearls nestled into their hair. There was no decoration on top of the style, simply on the mid-lengths and around the chignon itself for an elegant and feminine look. Creating a chic wet-look is simple when using the correct styling and fixing products. All you need to do is find some pearls in off-white and pastel shades. Whether you opt for miniature or larger versions, they will give your special hairstyle a unique finish.

Wavy lengths with a headband. This is the perfect hairstyle for any woman with long locks hosting a bohemian-inspired wedding. You can create this look if your hair is around shoulder length and is naturally soft. Decide between floral and simple designs…just be sure to match with your bridal gown. When you have created your waves and curls and set with hairspray, you can set about putting your headband in place. Rest on top of the head or around the forehead for a romantic and bohemian feel.

Topknot with a hairband. Considered one of the most popular hairstyle choices for brides-to-be, the top knot looks super-elegant and is very simple to style. A delicate hairband is the perfect way to accessorise this up-do. Choose a fine version and place in the centre of your head to dress-up your style and add a modern vibe. Whether you incorporate flower embellishment or decide to keep things plain, you should adapt and accessorise yours to coordinate with your dress…just don’t go overboard. Carefully place your hairband onto your style after creating your chignon.
