3 make-up tips for a curtain fringe

The curtain fringe is one of the biggest on trend looks of 2016! Once you have adopted this look, you may need to make a few changes, notably in terms of your make-up. If you have also fallen in love with this style of fringe, follow these 3 golden rules to succeed with your make-up.

Tip n°1: put make-up on before styling

To work with ease, hold your fringe on top of your head using a hairgrip or hair slide. This will allow you to unify your complexion evenly. Even if by adopting the curtain fringe , your entire forehead is covered… it is not a question of skipping this part of your face when applying make-up! For flawless skin, first start by applying tone on tone foundation using a flat brush. Always spread out the product from the centre towards your hairline, not forgetting to apply make-up to your ears and neck.

Tip n°2: make your eyes lighter

By covering your forehead, the fringe instantly creates an area of shade. You must therefore add light at all costs to make your eyes stand out. To do this, apply some under-eye concealer. Ideally, go for a corrector pen enriched in light reflecting pigments. Start at the internal corner of the eye. Then move the product towards the outer section, passing underneath the eye and the bottom lashes. Preferably, use a brush or work with your fingertips. Then pat the product so it penetrates the skin, blending in any demarcations. Now you just need to apply the eye make-up of your choice: eye-liner, smoky eyes or quite simply mascara…

Tip n°3: draw attention to your mouth

Your lips must be the stars of your make-up! Why? Thanks to your curtain fringe they will be perfectly revealed. Feel free to highlight them with colours of varying intensity depending on your preferences. Before applying your favourite lipstick, always use lip liner for perfectly outlined lips. Choose the same shade as your lipstick so no demarcations are visible!

Once you’ve got into the habit of following these tips, you’ll soon see that they will become automatic. Applying make-up with a fringe , even a curtain fringe, becomes child’s play!
