This winter, why not pair your neon eye make-up with an understated style? This is the perfect combination for creating an original look whilst retaining a sophisticated edge.
 
The trend. This quirky beauty look was spotted on the Chanel Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Hair was worn in ponytails with structured centre partings. This hairstyle was as simple as it gets and fuss-free meaning all attention was focused on the face and eyes. Make-up was used for dramatic effect, adding drama to the eyes. An iridescent eyeshadow covered the entire eyelid whilst a neon eyeliner was used in a winged shape to add a pop of color. Finally, lashings of black mascara defined the eyes to perfect the finished look.
 
Who can wear neon make-up and a simple style? Anybody tempted to give colorful eye make-up a try this season. This look is perfect for brightening up a simple LBD or sharp tux. The combination of a simple hairstyle and look-at-me make-up is a real winner.
 
Get the runway look. Start by creating a neat centre parting using a fine tooth comb. Gather your lengths at the base of your neck, securing into a low-slung ponytail. Spray all-over with hairspray to keep things looking neat and groomed. Now for the make-up! Start with a hydrating base by using a moisturising day cream. Next, even out your complexion with a lightweight foundation in order to hide any blemished or redness. Now you have a flawless base, you can move onto the eyes. Apply an iridescent eyeshadow all over your lid. Take a colorful eyeliner and draw a smooth line along your upper lashes, raising the end slightly for a winged effect. Finally, add drama with layers of an intense black mascara. Complete your overall look with a nude lip color and voila!
