Preppy-chic: the no-parting ponytail spotted on the Tod’s catwalk

During Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 Fashion Week in Milan, luxury brand Tod’s created surprising hairstyles thanks to their unique take on the traditional ponytail. Worn without a parting, this new look is a breath of fresh air and a much-needed alternative to the classic version.

The no-parting ponytail is set to become one of 2015’s must-have styles. Both on-trend and very original, this hairstyle is also simple to create. Get the runway look and take direct inspiration from the Tod’s catwalk show by sweeping the front section of your hair over to one side. This will create a kind of hairband-effect which you can then tuck behind one ear. Finish by securing into a simple ponytail and spraying evenly with hairspray. 5 minutes and you’re good to go! In terms of make-up, nude is your best option. An even complexion instantly creates a natural look. Play up your eyes with a few generous coats of super-black mascara and opt for a subtle gloss for your lips.

This ponytail was spotted being paired with high shine and matte leather pieces. Loose, flowing shirts in silky fabrics will add a sophisticated feel. In terms of color palette, Tod’s selected pastel tones, cooler shades and dark basics. Lines were graphic, sharp yet feminine. Oversized pockets, metal zip fastenings and fur detail were used on skirts, dresses and jackets. The collection was designed to be elegant, timeless and comfortable for the wearer all at once. So…are you ready to copy this simple runway look?
