End of summer beauty programme for your hair

The holidays are over and it’s time to get back to work… But before you do, make some time for yourself and start the new season as you mean to go on. Set yourself a beauty programme with all the works: including your hair!

Once back home, take a look at yourself. Has your colour faded? Do you have damaged ends or dry lengths? Do you fancy a change? Basically, think about whether or not you need to go to your hairdresser’s. Your hair doesn’t necessarily need it even after the summer, the sun, sea and the pool.

If you have protected and looked after your hair this summer, then it should have survived unharmed, especially if you haven’t spent more than three weeks by the sea! The same sometimes goes for those of you with coloured hair. “Some blondes find that their hair looks even better when they get back from the beach! If your hair is well-nourished and well-looked after, it will be fine.” However, if the colour has faded and you have split ends, then we advise you to go and see your hairdresser, either to get a new colour, or to chop off damaged ends.

As for the rest, you just need to get into the right habits. This means using the right products for your hair type and looking after it every day. “If you feel that your hair is particularly dry, hydrate it with 10-minute leave-in masks for a month.” This is generally the most common problem after you’ve been in the sun, or in the sea or the pool.

Our tip: To give you hair added shine and keep it looking healthy, try taking wheat germ supplements. These will strengthen your hair, helping it to grow and leaving it looking shiny. Give this a go for a month!
